I am so excited for this Spring/Summer fashion season because there are so many trends that a woman can pick and choose to follow. I love the lace design trend and think it would be perfect for a Summer afternoon tea wedding. In stores I have already begun to see brightly colored cotton pants in a rainbow of colors and can’t wait to pair with a beautifully tailored blouse for work or polo shirt for play. The photo printed handbag for evening is so unique and a great conversation starter; best of all it can be used for a casual date night or girl’s outing. This season it’s gone to the animals and sea creatures of the world. Designs can be found on just about all women’s clothing and jewelry will round out the season’s theme. Fashion is meant to be played around with until you find what style(s) works best for your body type and taste. The Spring/Summer trends are the best way to dabble and with the plants starting anew so should you refresh your wardrobe.
1. Black and White- color combinations are found in dresses with geometric patterns. Add a splash of color by pairing with some costume jewelry and heels.
2. Red is back – this bright color is sure to be on everyone’s list. Wear a red pant, blouse or skirt and pair with a navy blue or tan blouse or pant. If red isn’t your color then don’t worry bright, bold colored pants of all shades can be found in stores.
3. Flat forms or chunky flat – Something new this season, parallel or horizontal flats are in this season. Nice and easy on the feet.
4. The Roaring 20’s are back - think the Great Gatsby or Boardwalk Empire. Flapper dresses, long pearl necklaces and hair accessories will channel your inner Daisy Buchanan.
5. Animal prints – can be found on dresses, tops, pants, etc, small and large.
6. Brooches – add the finishing touch to any outfit. They can be fun or elegant, depending on your mood or outfit.
7. Lace – dresses and tops are a big hit this season. Various see through patterns with an overlay will be very popular for day and evening wear.
8. Pajamas – silky, elegant pajamas are not for the bedroom any longer. You can wear them for day or pair with a belt to glam it up for evening. If you aren’t brave enough to wear the whole outfit then start by wearing the top with a pair of trousers.
9. Showing off your midriff, ala 50’s style. We are not going back to exposing the bellybutton, but more the midriff or smaller waistline. Cigarette pants and a decorative bra will complete the look.
10. Sunglasses - Cat eye, square and oval shaped sunglasses. Have a little fun and try a new style for summer.
11. Floral prints, paisley pattern, geometric patterns – Can be found in this seasons tops and dresses.
12. Handbags – choose between printed florals, pastels, belted bags or even a photo printed handbag for evenings out, so unique everyone will ask where you bought it.
13. Pick a printed scarf to ease into the aminal, floral, paisley prints, animal, tribal without the dedication to the trend.
